Vinisha Umashankar, is in grade 9 and hails from Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. She is a Social innovator, thinker and a Globalist. She was awarded the Children’s Climate Prize 2020 by Children’s Climate Foundation, Sweden, for her innovation, a Solar Ironing cart. Vinisha has 10 innovations so far. Five of them focus on the environment and the other five for the under-privileged of our society.

Vinisha was also the youngest recipient of the Dr Pradeep P Thevannoor Innovation Award for her innovation of a Smart Ceiling Fan. She has won many essay contests, quiz competitions, elocutions, drawing, singing, dancing and yoga competitions. Reading books is her favourite hobby. She likes to read the old classics, history, mystery, reference, science and technology books. She has won several elocutions, quiz, essay writing, drawing, singing, dancing and yoga competitions. She can play the electronic keyboard, ride a bicycle, do gymnastics and swim. She is learning to cook too. She loves nature, trees, animals, birds and butterflies. She advocates everyone to grow at least a tree. Her most favourite quote is “Don’t watch the clock, do what it does. Keep Going” of Sam Levenson.

Fourteen yr old Gauri has been learning Kathak since she was six years old. She has performed and won in various National and International dance competitions like National Festival at Jagannath Temple. She has been awarded the Vaushnavi Nritya Kala Ratna award and Sarbojaneen Durga. She has also performed at RASIPA, Saharanpur and the Taj Mahotsav at Agra. Her tribute to the Army and Corona warriors was recognized by the National Writers and Cultural Forum. She won the 2nd prize in the the online All India Dance Competition by Vaishnavi Apsara, She was also awarded the 2nd position in the iNternational dance competition organized by ANAAS India.

Gauri is involved with the charitable foundation “CHETNA”.

Aayush Savdekar

Aayush, is a 14 yr old budding young virtuoso with a flair for rhythms. He has been awarded top accolades at various prestigious National and International music competitions, like Shri Baba Harivallabh Sangeet Pratiyogita (2017, 2019)- India, Classical Voice of India (2018)- India, Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts, Spain etc. He has also been awarded the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship by Centre for Cultural Research & Training, Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Aayush was also invited by Government of India to spread a message of positivity during COVID19 lockdown through their MyGov’ #PositiveHarmonies initiative.

Aayush is a 2nd Dan Black Beltin Karate, loves Digital Sketching and plays various other instruments like Drums, Keyboard, Guitar and Mouth Organ.

Eleven yr old Jai Bhatia started with Hindustani Classical music since the age of 7. And, this dynamic boy has already made his mark for himself. He has his own YouTube channel with more than 120 songs uploaded on it. He performs live at various clubs/ institutes and even movie premieres. He has his heart in various social causes and has even composed songs on issues like Child Labour, Water Conservation, World Peace and the recent COVID pandemic.

Jai is academically brilliant, a guitarist, plays basketball, loves swimming, keen in equestrian and a Tae Kwon Do champ.

Soumya Ghosh

Soumya is currently pursuing Genetic Engineering. He has drowned himself in various social causes. He has a scholarship of Rs 50,000/- from the Indian Cancer Society. His presentation to the Secreatry General, United Nations to support a project on Thalassemia secured the release of funds from the United Nations. He has also been selected as a member of International Youth Council of United Nation. He secured the 2nd position for Fundraiser to support Global Youth in the Children’s Welfare Convention.

He had also represented the National Cadet Corps (NCC) at Russia and was the winner of “International Rally of Young Patriots”. For his outstanding contributions, he was awarded the Governor of West Bengal’s medal. He is also a proud recipient of the honourable Defence Minister’s medal.
